The
town of East Lyme is located in the southwestern corner
of New London County on the Long Island Sound. It was incorporated
in 1839 on lands from Lyme and New London.
Most of East Lyme is still rural, yet the area has excellent
access to north and southbound travel. Modern and clean,
it’s a town of exceptional housing and an exceptional
school system, along with fine beaches, restaurants and
stores. Home is just minutes from beach or theater or a
relaxed evening of elegant shoreline dining.
Close by is Rocky Neck State Park. Stretching for about
a mile, the park offers camping, hiking, picnicking, fishing,
scuba diving, a boardwalk and bath houses. Throughout the
area, orchards, bike paths and wooded hiking trails provide
recreation for all seasons.
East Lyme offers the experience of living the rural life
in a modern New England town—with easy access to Mystic
and Newport, Hartford and New Haven. Plus Boston and New
York City are only two hours away.
A
world of old stone walls and open meadows, natural woodlands
and sweeping ocean views, East Lyme is a quiet, seaside
town with every convenience right nearby. |
